<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine including: a flow path that is provided between an inner casing and an outer casing and through which an exhaust steam passes from an inner casing exhaust port to an outer casing exhaust port; and a flow barrier provided in the flow path between the inner casing and outer casing in a turbine section of the steam turbine. <P>SOLUTION: The steam turbine 100 includes the turbine section 101 including a rotor 102. The inner casing 122 is provided about the turbine section 101, the inner casing 122 including an upstream end 130, a downstream end 132 and the inner casing exhaust port 134 positioned at the downstream end 132 allowing the exhaust steam to exit the inner casing 122. The outer casing 120 is provided about the inner casing 122, the outer casing 120 including the outer casing exhaust port 140 positioned to be adjacent to the upstream end 130 of the inner casing 122. The flow path 144 extends between the inner casing 122 and the outer casing 120.
