<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having improved power saving characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: When an operation state of an image forming apparatus 1 is a deep sleep state, if a data processing part 31 of an energy saving sub system 13 receives data, which is determined to be processable by the data processing part 31, from a buffer 22, it carries out processing of the data. On the other hand, if the data processing part 31 receives data, which is determined not to be processable by the data processing part 31, from the buffer 22, it allows a system control part 32 to switch the operation state of the image forming apparatus 1 from the deep sleep state to a normal operation state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
