<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, an imaging method, and a program that can further promptly create an image in which a plurality of dynamic bodies extracted from each of a plurality of images imaged continuously are synthesized. <P>SOLUTION: When pressing a shutter button, a preview image p1-pn stored in a memory is read out, and a background image is created based on the preview image p1-pn. In addition, when an imaging image P1 is read out from the memory, a difference of the imaging image P1 and the background image is obtained, so that a dynamic body image made up of pixels including the difference is extracted from the imaging image P1.
