<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel for traveling on a rail, which employs a lightweight and inexpensive constitution and which has high general versatility by easily achieving commonality among wheels different in use condition from one another. <P>SOLUTION: A wheel for traveling on a rail comprises: a wheel body 10 in which a rail tread part 15, an annular flange part 11 extended out to a radial outside in such a manner as to continue into the axial one-end side of the rail tread part 15 and a recess-shaped adapter storage part 13 are integrally formed; and an adapter 2 that is provided with a structure for being pivotally supported on an axle 5 and that is disposed in a fitted state in the adapter storage part 13. Such a constitution enables various types of wheels with different design specifications to be easily obtained by freely setting the adapter 2 depending on the use application, use condition and the like of the wheel without reference to a molding material of the wheel body 10 and the like, makes the commonality and general versatility of the wheel better, and enables a reduction in the cost of the wheel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
