<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a degree of freedom in designing a rotary component group composed of a main rotary component and sub rotary components which are linked with each other for detecting a rotation angle of a rotary component in a rotation angle detection apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection apparatus 4 includes a main rotary component 41 which is rotated integrally with an output shaft 21 of a steering device 1 around a rotation centerline L, first and second sub rotary components 51 and 61 which are rotated while being linked with the main rotary component 41 in a predetermined rotation ratio, first and second magneto-resistance elements 71 and 72 which output first and second detection signals S1 and S2 corresponding to first and second rotation angles θ1 and θ2 of the first and second sub rotary components 51 and 61, and rotation angle detection means 49 which detects a steering angle θ on the basis of the first and second detection signals S1 and S2. Between the main rotary component 41 and the first/second sub rotary component 51/61, rotations are transferred by friction between contact faces 42 and 52/42 and 62 of the main rotary component 41 and the first/second sub rotary component 51/61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
