摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control technique capable of avoiding unnecessary output suppression. <P>SOLUTION: A battery protection device 1 has battery final reaching temperature estimation means 10, output suppression determination means 20, and output control means 30. The battery final reaching temperature estimation means 10 calculates a battery estimation final reaching temperature estimated from a residual capacity of a battery and an internal resistance value at the maximum output running expected in an electric vehicle. When it is determined that the battery estimation final reaching temperature does not reach a battery upper-limit protection temperature by the output suppression determination means 20, no output suppression at a high temperature is performed in the output control means 30. In the case that the output suppression is performed, the output control means 30 calculates an output attenuation coefficient (from zero to one) based on a difference between the battery upper-limit protection temperature and a battery maximum temperature, and outputs an output value (an output suppression value at a high temperature) weighted by the output attenuation coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
