<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellent steering stability, ride comfort and durability and to attain lightness in weight, in a pneumatic radial tire using a steel cord 1 as a belt ply. <P>SOLUTION: Two to six main filaments 2 having the same diameter are arranged side by side to form a single layer without twisting them and one non-shaped lapping filament 3 having a diameter smaller than that of the main filament 2 is wound around the main filaments. Each of the main filaments 2 has a diameter (D) of 0.15-0.30 mm, and a specified composition in which a carbon (C) content is 0.95-1.20 mass% or the like, and tensile strength TS (Mpa) satisfying following formula (I): -2000×D+4400≤TS (Mpa)≤-2000×D+5400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
