<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna apparatus which does not require measurement of element impedance for each antenna, and does not require adjustment to be a different bias voltage for each matching circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The array antenna apparatus includes antenna elements 10 arrayed in a plurality of numbers, power feeding circuits 40A and 40B for feeding power to the antenna element 10 arrayed in a plurality of numbers, a plurality of adjusting circuits 20 which are provided between the antenna elements 10 arrayed in a plurality of numbers and the power feeding circuits 40A and 40B respectively, for impedance matching, and a control part 50 for controlling a plurality of matching circuits 20. The control part 50 calculates an element impedance of a central antenna element 10 in a beam scanning range. Based on the calculated element impedance, a matching condition between the antenna element 10 and the power feeding circuits 40A and 40B is determined.
