<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide porous ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic glass particles exhibiting high binding capacities for a molecules of interest, especially biomolecules, and, most preferably, nucleic acid molecules. <P>SOLUTION: The porous ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic glass particles includes silica glass precipitated or adsorbed on iron oxide or a pigment, wherein: pores of silica glass particles includes the pores greater or smaller than 10 nm in diameter; and a cumulative pore area of the particles for pores greater than 10 nm in diameter is greater than 4 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
