<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method, capable of performing suitable clamp processing for a video image signal exceeding a dynamic range of the clamp processing, without shortening a time constant of a recursive filter in a clamp processing unit. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus digital-converts an electric signal output from an imaging device, including an effective pixel region and an optical black region and converting an input light signal into an electric signal for outputting; clamps the digital-converted imaging signal of the effective pixel region or the optical black region to a black level by setting a difference between the imaging signal and the optical black region; calculates correction amount of a video image signal by using signal information of a part or all of regions of the optical black region of the imaging signal of the imaging device, and the signal information, and performs correction by subtracting the correction amount calculated from the imaging signal before clamping in the clamp processing step; and in that time, calculates independently correction amount of the video image signal for each color and performs independently correction processing for each color of the video image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
