<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that can adjust the quantity of needle thread take-up by a rotating thread take-up lever only in the proper range of the main shaft angle. <P>SOLUTION: A thread take-up device 40 comprises: a rotating thread take-up lever 41; a first thread guide member 44 in which a needle thread from a needle thread feeding source to the rotating thread take-up lever is inserted; and a second thread guide member 45 in which a needle thread from the rotating thread take-up lever to a sewing needle is inserted. The thread take-up device periodically pulls up and releases the needle thread in synchronization with the rotation of a main shaft 31, by means of the rotation of the rotating thread take-up lever. The thread take-up device also comprises: an adjusting body 51 that changes the path length of the needle thread by contacting itself with the needle thread from only one of directions, in which the angle of the needle thread changes as the needle thread path is rotated about the first or the second thread guide by the rotation of the rotating thread take-up lever, thus adjusting the quantity of needle thread take-up by the rotating thread take-up lever; and position adjustment means 52 that adjusts the position of the adjusting body in a plane, in which the needle thread path rotates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
