<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses difference between feed and take-up speed of a film, as well as difference in conveyance speed between a film and a recording sheet, in giving glossiness to a recording sheet using a thermal head. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus increases rotation speed of a feed roller 204 as the feed amount of a film 202 increases, while decreasing rotation speed of a take-up roller 205.
