<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling material for negative pressure treatment that can be easily shaped and cut without using a cutter. <P>SOLUTION: The filling material for negative pressure treatment is formed to divide a base material 3 made of a water permeable elastic body, into a plurality of partial lumps 5 and to connect the plurality of partial lumps 5 through connection parts 7 smaller in cross-sectional area than the partial lumps 5. The base material 3 may be formed with a plurality of notches 17, and the plurality of partial lumps 5 may adjoin one another with the notches 17 as boundaries. The connection parts 7 may be filamentous. Sponge with open cells is applicable as the water permeable elastic body. The ratio of cross-sectional area of the connection parts 7 to the partial lumps 5 is preferably 1/10-1/50 or less.
