<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber reinforced resin composite that is light weight, has high strength, has good heat transfer anisotropy and thermal insulation, and has a metallic shine, and to provide a production method for the carbon fiber reinforced resin composite. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon fiber reinforced resin composite includes a laminate of at least one carbon fiber reinforced resin layer and at least one thermal insulation layer. The thermal insulation layer includes a thread that contains voids and is a single raw material with an average surface roughness Ra of 0.3 μm or less.
