<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of producing information related to electric power while saving a cost and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device 6 includes a power supply circuit 10 and power information producing means 310. The power supply circuit 10 carries out voltage conversion for converting input voltage Vin applied to a voltage input end portion 20 into voltage Vout of a predetermined voltage value, and outputs the voltage Vout after voltage conversion to a voltage output end portion 80. The power supply circuit 10 includes switching means 31 for carrying out chopping to voltage on the voltage input end portion 20 by switching action, and a control circuit 32 for controlling the switching action of the switching means 31.
