<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette lighter that eliminates the need for a temperature fuse to be provided in a cigarette lighter body and is therefore highly safe. <P>SOLUTION: The cigarette lighter includes: a plug body 220 including a heater element 250 generating heat by energization; and a lighter receiving part 100 which houses plug body 220, includes a bimetal 130 for locking or releasing the plug body 220 and supplies current from the power supply part of a vehicle side including a vehicle fuse 300 to the heater element 250 via thermistors 160 and 162 having different characteristics and the bimetal 130. The thermistors 160 and 162 having different characteristics are respectively set to have positive characteristics in which an electric resistance value increases with an increase in the temperature, and negative characteristics in which an electric resistance value decreases with the increase in the temperature, thereby the cigarette lighter which eliminates the need for the temperature fuse to be provide in the cigarette lighter body and is therefore highly safe, is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
