<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive tape for molding a plastic lens, the tape hardly inducing clouding and bubbles caused by an adhesive in a plastic lens, and to provide a method for molding a plastic lens. <P>SOLUTION: The adhesive tape 100 for molding a plastic lens has a structure having an adhesive layer 20 disposed on one surface of a tape base material 10. The adhesive layer 20 is constituted of an adhesive, which containing as a principal component a mixture comprising an addition reaction type silicone adhesive in an amount of 80 mass% or more and 95 mass% or less and a peroxide curable silicone adhesive by in an amount of mass% or more and 20 mass% or less, and which contains a crosslinking agent mixed therein effective on the addition reaction type silicone adhesive. The adhesive containing as a principal component the mixture is heat treated so as to control the content of dimethyl polysiloxane comprising 3 or more and 20 or less monomers to be 4,850 μg or less per 1 g of the adhesive containing as a principal component the mixture.
