摘要 <p>The purpose of the present invention is to improve accuracy of disposing a supplied thin film material on a substrate surface. A region equivalent to a glass substrate (21) in a mother glass (60) is specified as a thin film forming region (62), and an alignment mark (70) is disposed outside of the thin film forming region (62). The alignment mark (70) functions as a position specifying section for specifying the dropping position of a droplet of the thin film material (for instance, a droplet (24a) of an alignment film material (24)). The alignment mark (70) includes a recessed and protruding shape (72) wherein a plurality of island-like recessed portions (73) or protruding portions (75) are two-dimensionally disposed, and the recessed and the protruding shape (72) has a coordinate system set therein, said coordinate system indicating the positions of the recessed portions (73) or those of the protruding portions (75). On a part of the recessed and protruding shape (72), a marking (78) having the orientation film material (24) supplied thereto is formed. The present invention is applicable to, for instance, liquid crystal display devices.</p>
