A battery pack, which reliably prevents the penetration of water from the outside and safely releases gas externally when gas is generated by a battery, is provided. The battery pack is provided with: a plurality of unit cells, which are lithium-ion rechargeable batteries; an exhaust passage that is adjacent to the unit cells, and that allows gas generated by the unit cells to pass through; a case that houses the plurality of unit cells and the exhaust passage; and gas exhaust duct (42) that is attached to the case and releases gas that has passed through the exhaust passage to the outside. The gas exhaust duct is provided with a lid (51) comprising a waterproof member, which is positioned on an outlet (44) or midway along the exhaust passage, and the gas exhaust duct is sealed by the lid. The gas exhaust duct is further provided with an opening member (61) that unseals the lid and opens the gas exhaust duct. The opening member operates according to gas generated by the cell units.
