<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light-emitting device which is applicable to various displays, menu boars, signs, and signboards such as a store front display requiring frequent changes of display information and is low in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The planar light-emitting device includes: a light source 4; a frame 6 housing the light source 4; a light guide member 8 which has one end part disposed in the frame 6 and guides light incident on an end surface in the one end part toward the other end surface; and a light diffusion member 10 disposed opposite the light diffusion member 8 so as to cover one principal surface of the light guide member 8. The light diffusion member 10 is disposed so as to be freely brought into contact with and separated from the light guide member 8. When force is applied to the light diffusion member 10 from the outside in a state where the light diffusion member 10 is in close contact with the light guide member 8, a portion to which the force has been applied becomes an optical path for light, and a part of light passing through the light guide member 8 leaks to a surface of the light diffusion member 10 to display information. On the other hand, information of light emitted from the surface of the light diffusion member 10 disappears when the close contact state between the light diffusion member 10 and the light guide member 8 is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
