<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively cooling a control board and other components without imposing any restriction on structure and space in a body housing. <P>SOLUTION: Air heated by a power supply unit 4 is discharged from an exhaust port 5e in the upper part of a body housing 5, and air from outside accordingly flows in through an intake port 5b in the lower part of the body housing 5, with the air flowed in cooling a control unit 6. Then, the air flowed in flows upward inside the body housing 5 and cools a printing unit 3 and furthermore it cools the power supply unit 4 and is discharged from the exhaust port 5e. The air heated by the power supply unit 4 does not flow downward to the printing unit 3 or the control unit 6, and therefore the temperature of the printing unit 3 or the control unit 6 is not raised by the heated air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
