<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture substrate which makes the back of cell easily observable. <P>SOLUTION: The cell culture substrate includes a stimulus-responsive region for changing a cell adhesion degree by a stimulus, a cell adhesion region having cell adhesiveness, a cell non-adhesion region having cell non-adhesiveness and an adhesion boundary being a boundary part of the stimulus-responsive region and the cell adhesion region.
