PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to view a desired part even when a display screen is small.

SOLUTION: An imaged document (document image) is displayed on a display screen 80. Character recognition is performed on the document image, and a predetermined word (the word "program") is surrounded with a frame 61. When the word surrounded with the frame 61 is selected, the document image is displayed on the display screen 80 so that the word is moved to the center of the display screen 80 and the whole document image is enlarged. A part in which a user is interested becomes easily viewable.
