<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing roller capable of responding to the print speed enhancement and reducing an occurrence of slip between a fixing roller and a pressure roller without deteriorating the fixing property and mold releasability; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This fixing roller includes a fluororesin layer that is provided directly on the outer peripheral surface of a tubular base material consisting of polyimide or provided thereto via an intermediate layer. The inner peripheral surface of the base material is formed of a plurality of discontinuous protrusions or recesses, the top face of the protrusion or the bottom face of the recess has a substantially flat surface with an area of 700 μm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or more, and the height difference between the protrusion and the recess is not less than 5 μm but not more than 16 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
