<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous detection by using threshold processing, and to perform highly accurate detection or measurement by using statistics with histogram. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises: a three-dimensional image imaging unit 1 that acquires a three-dimensional image of target vehicles; a three-dimensional data threshold processing unit 11 that performs threshold processing to reduce erroneously detected data in three-dimensional data; a vehicle detection unit 12 that detects vehicles from the threshold-processed three-dimensional data; a parallel running vehicle detection unit 13 that generates a depth-distance histogram from the threshold-processed three-dimensional data, and that detects parallel running vehicles from the generated depth-distance histogram; and a vehicle height measurement unit 14 that generates a height histogram from the threshold-processed three-dimensional data, and that measures a height of vehicles by using the generated height histogram. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
