摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of an additional capacitor electrically connected to a data line in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optical device includes: a first substrate (10) and a second substrate (20) which are arranged so as to be opposed to each other and support an electro-optical substance (50) in a region surrounded by a sealing member (52); a pixel electrode (9) provided in a pixel region (10a) on the first substrate corresponding to an intersection of a scan line (11) and a data line (6); a storage capacitor electrode (71) provided so as to be opposed to the pixel electrode through a capacitor insulating film (72) between the pixel electrode and the scan line and the data line; and an additional capacitor (600) which has a first capacitor electrode (610) made of the same layer as the pixel electrode and a second capacitor electrode (620) made of the same layer as the storage capacitor electrode, and is electrically connected to the data line.
