<p>[Problem] Provided is a water blocking electric cable with which it is possible to effectively prevent the migration of water (particularly water migration at the interface between the internal semiconductor layer and the conductor), even in the event that the insulation coating material of the cable has been destroyed and water has penetrated up to the conductor as a result of an accident, or the like. [Solution] A cable core comprises, in this order, a water-tight conductor which is formed by filling the space among a plurality of wires with a water-tight material and then intertwining; an internal semiconductor layer which is formed from a conductive material the primary component of which is a mixture of 100 parts by weight of a polyolefinic rubber or resin, 10 to 100 parts by weight of carbon black, and 0.3 to 3.0 parts by weight of an aliphatic alkyl peroxide and which has been crosslinked by heating; an insulation layer formed from an insulation coating material the primary component of which is a polyolefinic rubber or resin; and an outer semiconductor layer.</p> |
