PURPOSE: An E(Electronic) mail conversation controlling and displaying method is provided to effectively store each message data for E-mail data by identifying E-mail conversation through E-mail conversation items. CONSTITUTION: A conversation agent receives directions for the operation of an E-mail conversation(401). The conversation agent identifies one or more E-mail messages within the E-mail conversation(402). The conversation agent accesses the identified E-mail messages(403). The conversation agent executes operation corresponding to the identified E-mail messages by responding to the directions(404).
