<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic display device that enables multi-viewpoint display with higher definition. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic display device includes a liquid-crystal display panel 1 that displays spatially-divided four viewpoint images on one screen, and a parallax barrier 2 that optically separates the four viewpoint images so that they can be stereoscopically viewed from four viewpoints. The liquid-crystal display panel 1 has a plurality of unit pixels consisting of a plurality of sub-pixels R, G and B, and the sub-pixels that emit color lights different from each other are adjacently arranged on the same line in the horizontal direction of the screen. Each of the four viewpoint images consists of a plurality of the sub-pixels arranged in the oblique direction of the screen, and two sub-pixel columns consecutive in the horizontal direction of the screen are displayed in a plural number at a cycle of 4×2 columns in the horizontal direction of the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
