<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intuitively and accurately transmit operation instructions intended by an operation instructor to an operator during remote instruction in an operation of image acquisition means. <P>SOLUTION: A remote image display system includes: the image acquisition means including a finder image display section for displaying, as a finder image, an image input from an optical input section, and a finder image output section for outputting the finder image via a communication line; and image display/operation instruction means including a monitor display section for monitor-displaying the finder image input via the communication line, and an operation instruction transmission section for outputting, as operation instruction information, an operation instruction indicative of an operation of image acquisition, including an input direction or composition of the finder image, input to the finder image on the monitor display section.
