The sliding spherical-shaped plugs are useful in disconnection switches of high electric voltage, the plugs being mainly used in flat surfaces and under high mechanical pressures exerted over surfaces provided with radial linear motion or combinations thereof, having a single or double finger contact configuration in a "U" shape, also being used in contact fingers located over elongated flat surfaces. The plugs may be made of copper, aluminium alloys with a surface cover of other metals. The spherical-shaped sliding contacts may be manufactured by die cut, copper strong welding or by machining the spherical surface of the plug. The plugs are made of a plurality of flexible metals and a plurality of metal covers, used as a combination, the plugs being designed for cooperating with flat contact parts actuated under a certain pressure, the purpose of the invention is to facilitate the motion under constant or variable pressure.
