<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell which can restrain the occurrence of cracks in a minute insulator which covers side end parts of a support substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A flat plate-like porous support substrate 10 having gas passages 11 formed inside thereof has power generation element parts A provided on its principal plane, each of which consisting of an inner electrode, a solid electrolyte membrane, and an outer electrode. A gas seal part which prevents two streams of gases supplied to the inner and the outer electrodes from getting mixed includes a portion of the principal plane of the support substrate 10 where no power generation element part A is installed and a minute insulator 40 covering the side end parts of the support substrate 10. The solid electrolyte membrane positioned between a fuel electrode and an air electrode inside the power generation element part A is composed of yttria stabilized zirconia containing less than 8.1 mol% of yttria, and the portion covering the side end parts of the support substrate in the insulator includes a portion consisting of yttria stabilized zirconia containing no less than 8.1 mol% of yttria. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
