<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which achieves excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics by suppressing metal segregation in an anode of the secondary battery during charging. <P>SOLUTION: An anode for a secondary battery comprising an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte interposed between the anode and the cathode has, on the cathode-side surface thereof, a porous layer in which a plurality of members having different temperature coefficients of resistance are adjacent to each other.
