<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the management of batteries. <P>SOLUTION: A battery device 11 includes a battery 51, an IC chip 53 and a DC blocking section 52. DC power in the battery 51 is output via power lines 17, 18. The IC chip 53 load-modulates AC signals exchanged via the power lines 17, 18 to output stored battery information via the power lines 17, 18. The DC blocking section 52 blocks an input of DC power output via the power lines 17, 18 to the IC chip 53. A voltage generation section 151 can be connected in parallel with the IC chip 53 to supply the IC chip 53 with a voltage generated by AC signals exchanged via the power lines 17, 18.
