CONSULTING CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SYSTEM, SERVER DEVICE, HOME SERVER DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONSULTING INFORMATION FOR CONSUMER ELECTRONICS APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consumer electronics apparatus with a usage method according to a use situation of the apparatus, after selling the consumer electronics apparatus.

SOLUTION: A server 10 and a consumer electronics apparatus 20 are connected communicably to each other by a communication network 1. The consumer electronics apparatus 20 transmits use situation information showing an operational state of the consumer electronics apparatus to the server 10. The server 10 updates a user information database 16 based on the received use situation information. The server 10 also acquires consulting information showing a usage method for the consumer electronics apparatus 20 by referring to a design information database 15 and the user information database 16, and transmits the consulting information to the consumer electronics apparatus 20. The consulting information is information for operation for solving a trouble relating to the usage of the consumer electronics apparatus 20, or for the usage of the consumer electronics apparatus in optimum condition. The consumer electronics apparatus 20 operates depending on the received consulting information.
