<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a portable communication terminal under an environment of poor radio wave conditions without ceasing communication with the base station. <P>SOLUTION: In a portable communication terminal 1, a transmission unit 10 periodically transmits wireless signals 102 to a base station. A detection unit 20 detects a Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) 104 of wireless signals 103 from the base station as communication condition with the base station. When the RSSI 104 is less than a predetermined threshold, a control unit 30 causes the transmission unit 10 to extend a transmission interval of the wireless signals 102 longer than a predetermined interval. Also, when the RSSI 104 changes from being less than the threshold to being equal to or more than the threshold, the control unit 30 resets the transmission interval to the predetermined interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
