<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that can make the antibacterial effect of an antibacterial agent last for a long time by efficiently exhibiting the antibacterial effect on drain water remaining in a drain pan after a drain pump is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner including an evaporator 2 for evaporating a refrigerant in a container by exchanging heat with air, a drain pan 4 for receiving drain water produced on an external surface of the evaporator 2, and a drain pump 3 for pumping up the drain water from the drain pan 4 and discharging the same out of an exhaust pipe includes an antibacterial agent support member which arranges an antibacterial agent 12 at a position which is higher than the water level of the drain water in the drain pan 4 during the pumping-up operation of the drain pump 3 and dipped in drain water returning to the drain pan 4 from the exhaust pipe when the drain pump 3 stops, and the antibacterial agent 12 which is supported by the antibacterial agent support member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
