<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of azimuth information. <P>SOLUTION: A pan rotation mechanism 32 or a tilt rotation mechanism 34 changes the azimuth of a monitoring camera 10 in response to an azimuth change instruction. A main CPU 30 prepares azimuth information according to the azimuth change instruction, and detects the arrival of the azimuth of the monitoring camera 10 at a reference azimuth. The main CPU 30 also reduces the speed of the azimuth change operation of the monitoring camera 10 by the change processing of the pan rotation mechanism 32 or the tilt rotation mechanism 34 in association with detection processing, and corrects the azimuth indicated by the prepared azimuth information to the reference azimuth in response to the detection of the arrival of the azimuth of the monitoring camera 10 at the reference azimuth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
