PURPOSE: A method and device for avoiding a cold star of a GPS(Global Positioning System) terminal are provided to reduce a driving time of a GPS terminal because a cold star can be avoided in initial driving of the GPS terminal. CONSTITUTION: A device for avoiding a cold star of a GPS terminal comprises an input unit(21), a display unit(22), a storing unit(23), a communication unit(24), and a control unit. The input unit outputs input signals to the control unit. The display unit displays display data corresponding to the input signals according to control of the control unit. The storing unit stores a predetermined program controlling overall operation of a GPS terminal and all kinds of data input and output when performing control operation of the GPS terminal. The communication unit performs communication according to the control of the control unit. The communications unit constitutes a bluetooth module part for a bluetooth function and a GPS module part a GPS function The control unit processes data received from the input unit, thereby controlling a process in which a result of data processing is transmitted to the output unit.
