The triangle (10) has a transmitter (12) for wireless transmission of data to a receiver (18) and integrated into a motor vehicle (16). The transmitter transmits a data containing radio signal (14) in a frequency band of a short-distance radio using a wireless local area network (WLAN). The receiver receives the radio signal, where the triangle is manually and/or automatically moved from a stowing away position to a functional position. An actuatable switch activates the transmitter that transmits a geographical position of the triangle or alignment of a front face (28) of the triangle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a signal processing device comprising an evaluating device (2) a method for operating a warning triangle for a vehicle.
