<p>The process comprises positioning an expandable mandrel (20) inside a barrel according to an angular position about an axis of the barrel, where the mandrel comprises an imprint (28) of stamping on its outer circumference, stamping a portion of the surface of the barrel by radial expansion and contraction of the expandable mandrel according to angular position around the axis of the barrel, and positioning the expandable mandrel inside the barrel according to an additional angular position about an axis of the barrel position. The process comprises positioning an expandable mandrel (20) inside a barrel according to an angular position about an axis of the barrel, where the mandrel comprises an imprint (28) of stamping on its outer circumference, stamping a portion of the surface of the barrel by radial expansion and contraction of the expandable mandrel according to angular position around the axis of the barrel, positioning the expandable mandrel inside the barrel according to an additional angular position about an axis of the barrel position in which the imprint of stamping on the outer periphery is partially radially opposite to a portion of the surface of the drum that does not belong to a swaged portion of the surface by the mandrel positioned in the previous angular position, and stamping the portion of the surface of the barrel by radial expansion and contraction of the expandable mandrel according to the additional angular position around the axis of the barrel. The step of positioning the mandrel inside the barrel according to the additional angular position and step of stamping the surface of the barrel are iterated in additional successive angular positions about the axis of the barrel. A passage of an angular position to a successive angular position around the axis of the barrel is performed by rotating the mandrel in a contracted configuration at a rotation of 45[deg] or 90[deg] . The imprint of stamping comprises roughness consisting of pins, points, pyramids including triangle or rectangle. The method further comprises a hole precision of the barrel before positioning the mandrel inside the barrel. An independent claim is included for a process for coating a barrel of cylinder housing by thermal projection.</p> |
