<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately sense a change in a concentration of a hydrogen gas by using a possibly simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen gas sensor includes: a sensor head 100 including a proton conductivity solid polymer electrolyte film 101 in which a carbon material is dispersed, a catalyst layer 102 fixed to a main surface of the solid polymer electrolyte film, an electrode 103 attached to the catalyst layer, and an electrode 104 attached to the solid polymer electrolyte film; and a control section 205 for determining that the hydrogen gas is contained in the atmosphere around the sensor head if an output voltage as a potential of the electrode 104 is positive when a potential of the electrode 103 is reference potential, and determining that the hydrogen gas is not contained in the atmosphere around the sensor head if the output voltage is negative. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
