A radiation sensitive resin composition for forming a colored layer is provided to form a color filter which does not generate the stoving with high yield and to ensure high solubility to cleaning solvent after drying. A radiation sensitive resin composition for forming a colored layer comprises (A) colorant, (B) alkali soluble resin, (C) multi-functional monomer and (D) photopolymerization initiator. The alkali soluble resin(B) comprises a copolymer manufactured through a process of polymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated compound containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid and a polymeric unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, in the presence a compound represented by the chemical formula 1. |
