<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of attaining reduction of power consumption, without causing deterioration of the line quality, in a system where interference waves occur on the same channel. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a radio communication apparatus which performs communication by using a communication channel assigned from a base station, comprising: a receiving means for receiving a signal transmitted from the base station; a surplus gain calculating means for calculating, as a surplus gain; a level difference between an interference wave and a noise floor on the same communication channel on the basis of the signal received from the base station; and a receiving gain control means for controlling a receiving gain at the receiving means so as to reduce it by the amount of the surplus gain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
