<p>The coating has an active substance and a medium for modifying drug delivery at a vessel that surrounds a balloon. The medium for modifying the drug delivery is provided as a polysaccharide. The polysaccharide is provided as a natural polysaccharide, particularly a natural dextran. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a balloon, which is provided with an upper surface; (2) a method for coating a balloon of a balloon catheter; and (3) a method for producing a medium for modifying an active substance.</p> |
