The element (1) has a set of chambers (7) arranged along the circumference of a circular disk (3), and a set of magnets (11) arranged in the respective chambers. A groove (13) is formed at an edge of each chamber, and a set of fixing members (15) are arranged in the respective grooves such that the fixing members contact and apply pressure on the respective magnets to fix the magnets in the chambers, where the fixing members exhibit a non-rotationally symmetric cross-section and are torsionally stiff in a longitudinal direction of the fixing members. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rotor element.
