The camshaft comprises a camshaft pipe (1), a hydraulic camshaft adjuster (2), a valve (3) for controlling the hydraulic fluid supplied to the camshaft adjuster, and an actuation unit (5) arranged in an inner chamber (4) of the camshaft pipe for actuating the valve, which is locked in axial direction against shifting.
