<p>A method of cleaning tableware in a dishwasher comprises allowing a mist of a cleaning product to contact the food soiled tableware, followed by removing the food soil on the tableware using a cleaning fluid, wherein the cleaning product is atomised to a size wherein at least 95% of the particles have a diameter of less than 2 microns. The atomized cleaning product may be an alkaline agent, a surfactant, an enzyme and a bleaching agent which is dissolved in water while the cleaning fluid is at least 99% water. The cleaning product may be heated. A dishwasher comprising a device capable of atomising a cleaning product such that more than 95% of the particles are less than 2 microns in diameter is also disclosed.</p> |
