The invention relates to a method for producing an adapalene aqueous gel, which method comprises preparing a gelling medium A by mixing water and propylene glycol and adding a gelling agent; preparing an adapalene medium B by dispersing adapalene in water, in the presence of a surfactant; adding the adapalene medium B to the gelling medium A ; and adjusting the pH to about 4.7-5.3.
