A vacuum cleaner (10) comprising a dust receptacle (20) having a handle (30) for carrying the dust receptacle (20), wherein the handle (30) comprises a first connector element (40) for transferring a force from the dust container (20) to the handle (30), and the handle engages the dust receptacle at the point where the first connector element (40) engages the dust receptacle (20), wherein the handle (30) is secured to the dust receptacle (20) via the first connector element (40). The present invention enables a vacuum cleaner to be provided using structurally simple and cost-effective means comprising a dust receptacle, wherein the dust receptacle may be securely carried via a handle. Moreover, a reliable and/or stable connection between the handle and the dust receptacle may be achieved.
